Looking for a way to make some space in the bedroom? Perhaps you’d like to have that townhouse feeling in your studio apartment? Look no further, the future is in loftbeds. “All you need is a good small SUV full of lumber, a ton of hardware, a saw, and the Pythagorean theorem and you’ve got everything to make one of these monsters,” master crafter, Farrin Abbott said Tuesday. A loftbed raises a normal bed several feet off the ground--freeing up floor space. “Once you’ve figured out the basics, the skies the limit, Farrin added, “We just hung a desk from chains on the bottom and are planning on some shelves for the future. Its really an endless project; the craft that keeps on giving!”
